Borg Warner 5000 series

Anyone have any experience with these drives? My transmission guy is leading me in that direction over ZF's I have a pair of both, Plus the BW down angle is 12 degree's vs the zf 8. Thoughts, complaints, suggestions?

Apologies for not visiting here for sometime now, but I’ve got these transmissions with 2.0:1 gears ratio behind 8.1 HO Crusaders in my 29 Blackfin and will probably also go with them on our current 31 Bertram restoration. We’ve had great service from them to date, but these particular engines/trans only have approx 500 hrs. Operation is smooth and quite and shifts aren’t clunky. Just let me know if you’d like any more particular information.
