Im great on my turf. I can go at nite or in the fog to any canyon within 140 miles and back without gps. But after 650 canyon trips even somebody as stupid as me can do it. Somewhere else maybe not so great.

Grounding Plate. My LPS ( Lightning Protection System) is hooked to it plus radios and radars and gps. Maybe put a new one on and use it?

Mainland is fine with me. We need a place were all the boats can be together first, town is not too far away 2nd, and there is some place for people without boats to stay 3rd.

It should still cruise at 28 knts at 3400 and 33 at wot 3950rpm with 4 blades I would think. Bruce would know better.

Those engines are as light as you can get for 315hp. I have them and I carry 290gal in fuel. Plus 4 guys food and rods plus 1700 lbs of flake ice. and sit close to that.

Tuna blood? I wash down with bleach and then put Tide in the bildge. About one cup. Smells great. If you are catching tuna the blood will go everywhere, there is no stopping it. I have had it on the raft on top of the deck house.

Last year in Japan they grew 990 tons of bluefin from eegs to adult in pens at sea. Soon they will not need to buy fish from us. They hired all the top people from Woods Hole and the University of Japan is running all the studies. The Bluefin love growing in pens and the meat is better.

Whaler came out to my house and shrink wrapped my flats boat today for the cost of the wrap. He drove far and took his own time to do me strait. Only from this site could you be so lucky to meet such great humans. Thank you John. And Capt Patrick for making this great place.

Tony, It is a must to have the raft. But without the suit on in the raft, cold and wet you will die from the cold. If you are in great shape you will die sooner then your fat buddies.

If you spend some time looking, there are twice as many polar bears as there was 20 years ago. My Dad went to the north pole this past summer and the bear expert on board said it was so. It was a National Geographic tour. To bad the truth does not make it here. I mean the USA not the sandbox.
