Hi There ....
Anyone know a good shipper to bring my Bahia from Lauderdale to Long Island.
I've heard that there are big $$ associated with coming into NY, if that is case, it can get a drop in Jersey and I will run fom there.
Thanks

I too think that they flopped.
If someone really wants a minted out 31, they buy one or build one. If you desire a 63 split window coupe, you don't get a kit car that looks like one.

Depending on how long it may have been since the last service, you may be further ahead in terms of time and effort by replacing the hoses rather than straining with and trying to save the old ones. I thought the same ..... great minds from the East End think alike.....although my exact thought was...

Heat exchanger replacement on Crusader 454
So.... Bought a new heat exchanger. Replaced the other side about a year ago, had mechanics do the switch on that one. New one is exact to the previously replaced one. I'm in FL for the weekend. Can any jerk (specifically this jerk) do the swap, or is there some magic that I should be aware of ? Tha...

The Bahia is the only 31 that I might consider outboards on, although a VERY knowledgeable friend from Montauk told me that there is a 31 with outboards at Ocean Reef that is phenomenal and runs great !!

Steve You missed my one big question. How does she ride/ perform compared to the 31? I realize she is shorter and probably lighter, but how does she run? Strike (Cummins 270s-6BT) runs nicely, nowhere near Bertram (Crusader 454s) speeds. Cruises 22 Kts, not sure of fuel burn, but not drinking fuel ...

Re: Joys of livin' in So. Florida
Strike and Striker similar in name only. Striker are alum hulled boats, sportfish FBC's. Strike are glass boats, I'd say performance oriented fishing boats in an open/express/walk around style. I actually saw an aluminum 32 center console Striker in Stuart, FL, which was the prototype for the Strik...

Hi Guys ... The floor of the tower on my Strike (approx. 4' x 7') was made of 1/8" aluminum and had a somewhat hideous fake grass carpet on top. It was corroding and has been removed to be replaced. ..... If you run the "big boy" down, I will gladly kick in for fuel ... and we could arguably get a few other guys too.
Not quite like a 31 from the NE, but possibly an alternative ...... plus it helps the weather window a bit.
