Re: Lockable rod storage?
When I re did my rear deck I left the smaller fuel tank in place and made rod storage above it with a long deck hatch that lifts up towards the transom. If you have the larger fuel tank you may not have enough room above it for that.

I just saw a 25 flybridge on a trailer with two outboards on an Armstrong bracket. I could not get pictures of it unfortunately and could not tell what the outboards were. The 300 Suzuki's are nice outboards. i have a friend who put two on an Armstrong bracket on a 30 foot Scarab Sport. They are so ...

That is one time that the trim tabs really help on a B31. You can lower the bow and see over it from the lower station. i am assuming you have the head in the after starboard corner with the gally sink where the lower station went?

Rick: I used to run lean of peak in my Beech Debonair. You had to be careful and I did not have fancy electronic gauges, but there definitely is a sweet spot there. Of course just past that sweet spot is a hole in a piston! LOL! Very few boaters have the attention span to run a boat motor that way ....

When I was just out of college and paying for my dive gear I dove on the running gear of a Uniflite hull that had been finished out as a house boat. I don't think it was a military hull, just of the same design. Not a bad looking boat as far as house boats went! LOL!

If you use heat, also take a piece of wax and melt it into the threads. The heat helps t pull it into the threads. I use a piece toilet bowl ring. A candle will also work. Also if you heat it you can quench it with water to make the nut contract quickly and compress any corrosion. If you can put for...

Strong soap and a pressure washer with a slanted end is what I have used. They work much better if they are heated.
