I don't get it. I may just be old. Where we go to the Bahamas I figured that the "go fast" crowd wanted to, well, get there fast. The dollars that are being spent, could justify a very nice airplane; which goes faster than any boat....and you could have a small house and a small boat too at the remo...

I suppose they do!

My Fortress fits fair..not perfect. But its in there somewhat loose. However the set screw holds it in tight. And I'm going to add the safety line like Mike O showed us. I can look later at what Model the Fortress is if you'd like. Or measure it to compare. I did nothing to my existing chocks.

I think the best remedy is to keep them exercised if possible. Mine froze up after sitting a long time. Dug's idea is a good one, I'll have to remember that if it's sitting a while.
And when you do take it out, be sure to run em up high for a bit and spin those turbos as frequently as possible.

Good idea on the safety line Mike. I think I'll add that to mine. I keep my heavier "bruce" anchor in the cockpit with a good amount of chain. For that light surface rust I've been using a product called http://quick-glo.com.
Really worked wonders on my old '65 Chevy chrome.
I then tried it on some of the stainless on the boat with great results. Easy to use and leaves it with a waxed finish.

For those that have used Ospho on your engines; does it affect or harm gaskets or sealant on the engine?
No matter how careful I am with this liquid I am convinced it will drip to a gasket area. If it messed up my seals that would suck worse than the small rust I am getting rid of.

I just measured the headliner. Roughly 70" front to back. Unless there is some additional space beyond the headliner, it's gonna be a little short for fishing rods.
