Re: Winter pics 2011-12
Bob: My windshield job was made years ago (late 70's early 80's). The other one was done back in 1993, in fact, we did two. Then "Pull the Hook" followed and many more. Great decade for reconstruction of B31's down here at Cangrejos Yatch Club. Yanmar engines changed the game. A pair of 170 for $20,...

"The devil is in the details"....most often facts of what may have occurred are acquired through discovery in a legal process. Expect to receive nothing from your marina. Re: Marina liability
Under Puerto Rico law, first you have to look at the contract between the parties. Then, as the incident occurred in the water, federal jurisdiction and law applies. Thereafter, the s#!& hits the fan. "Lawyers.......full legal discovery.....insurance claims...was it seaworthy?......etc, etc, etc.......

Tavis: "Bienvenido!". The B31 is the perfect boat for the West side of Puerto Rico. Soon you will learn about Mona passage and Mona Island. Certainly, you may find a good diesel B31 down here. Prices range from $150K to $80K. Usually with yannies 240 or 315's. My Email: abogadopr@hotmail.com Do not ...

This occurred in Puerto Rico a couple of weeks ago. Many theories floating around. Some say it was the anchor line, others a broken strainer; etc.

These are example pics. You can notice there is a nut on one of the sides. All I was left with was the allen head screw with a nut on the other side. http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m290/Hueso31/31nvMozRwGL__SL500_.jpg http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m290/Hueso31/res_006.jpg http://i107.photob...

Walter: You are correct. It is the one you are describing. Allen head on one side with threadless half and the other half threaded. The way they are sandwiched is by a nut affixed to port side of the zinc discs. Everything broke and I was left with the screw with the allen head on the starboard side...

Help with "frozen nut"
Yesterday while changing the zinc plate installed in one of my rudders with a mask and a snorkel, both sides of the zinc plate broke and I was left with a free wheel stainless steel screw and a frozen nut. I tried with two pressure pliers, but nothing. Had to quit because I had to play host to 12 fa...

Bought a house two years ago and it came with an Olympian G15U1S propane generator (Isuzu 4 cyl. engine and sold by Caterpillar in Puerto Rico).
