What is nice about the Tides is that there is no belows to worry about. They come with an extra set of seals that sits in a carrier on the shaft until you need them. You can install them even offshore. Undo a couple of screws slide the old ones out, cut them off slide the new ones in. I put two extr...

Those rudders look like they are in the right position. I don't think anyone would have moved them. You would probably be able to tell from the glass in the boat. If a repair was done or the rudders moved it probably will not match the factory glass.

I never heard of falling off a wave that large. Most of the time it is on the bow. I would have expected that in a heavy sea, but in two to three footers.

If I remember correctly the 29 Blackfin had the rudders set up, so they were out behind the stern. I believe there were some issues with the boat handled with the rudders back that far. You do not see any of the newer inboards designed that way.

Yannis The box lifts up and back, so it rests on the deck. If you only open it as far as the bridge overhang it is not fully open. Todd Yanmars and Cummis are like apples and Oranges. One spins up like a gas engine, the other lower RPMs with a completely different torque curve. The Yanmars I believe will spin a smaller wheel due to the difference in the RPM's and Torque Curve. So, when the Cummins is spinning a 20- or 21-inch w...

How about designing a deck with a track system. Modify the box covers so you can then slide them back on the track. I got that idea from Greg Thinnel (Thumbs Up) who use to be on here. He did that with his 30 Chris tournament.
