I agree with Yannis. Just make a nice even smooth triangle on the corner of each. As long as it is symmetrical it will probably look fine. Unless that will bug you to death . . .

While on the subject of caulking, check out a product called Tubeanew on Amazon. It is a rubber boot with a new caulking nozzle on it. It lets you save a caulking tube that the nozzle has hardened on by cutting the tube off and slipping the new boot on the tube so you basically have a new caulking t...

Re: Blasphemy? External Strainer installation?

The external strainer is really sized by the size of the external mushroom head on your thru hull. It must fit completely inside the strainer. The trap door is, in my opinion necessary, at least on the Groco configuration because you cannot get a straight shot into the thru hull with a cleaning tool...

Do yourself a favor and get a Lisle 80290 Hose Removal tool. Hose removal is so much easier! You can run it around inside the hose to unstick it and then use it to help pull the hose free!

Also you could have an aneurysm on the inside of one of your hoses that doesn't open to restrict the flow until you are running hard. A delamination on the inside of a hose could cause your problem.
