Tony They are ford 460s marinized by chrysler. Probably 88 models. They are angled down. I googled the casting numbers and they come back to being a late 60s/70s mercuiser part. I had assumed the boat had chrysler 440s in it and it was repowered with new chyslers in the 80s. Guess it hard mercuisers...

A heat gun works well too. get the rubber warm, use the hose tool to loosen it up and the slide off.

My vote is also my GMC Denali, heated/cooled seats(which I never really use). I drive a 3/4ton truck, so the ride is not the smoothest. But I think the Suburban / Yukon have great rides, especially when you step up to the LTZ/Denali

So both trannys are out and the shafts are worn where the ride on bushings. They recommend buying a rebuilt from someone out of Florida. Said it would be cheaper than them doing it in house. So, should I go back with B/W or switch to ZFs in case I go to diesel in future?

Just did props, cutlass bearings, had coupler and transmission flange faced. Both shafts checked. The starboard shaft was bent at the taper, but I was told it was straightened and should be good.
