I installed external strainers and so far don’t seem to have any issues. I did angle them slightly as per Pats article. If there is any issues with flow you can slightly oversize the holes in the screen right below the through hull. I am running Cummins 370’s with 165 deg thermostats and ran at 178 ...

Mark my son loved to come hang out in the boat while I worked it was cool to see his reaction when we went in he was so excited. Rick I use imguru to post pictures I followed directions of a post on here how to post pictures. Pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

Bottom is done five coats of barrier three coats of bottom paint. Started on the rub rail almost done. This was not the easiest job for sure. John thanks! I got a used set of 21x24 Michigan going to start with them. I think they will be a little big but it gives me a starting point. I have talked to someone with the same set up and he is running 20x24 and they are a little small so we will see.

If you have Cummins engines I have the lengths they were all different. I also did as Bob did and ran three down starboard pilaster and one down port I routed the cables slightly different the stock. I just had mine done on Wednesday. It definitely opens up lots of little checks in the gel coat I will be sanding and filling for a couple days for sure. I will at least be starting with a clean slate. Image

I believe the resin used is vinyl ester pretty sure it is safe with ethanol. I think some of the original tanks were ok with ethanol mine was fine it didn’t break down but my Dads deteriorated and the resin ran through his engines making a real mess.

Got to have the cup holders!! The radar came this week. Pulled the M/E harnesses and got everything wired. Moving along. Exhaust wrap is finished and ready for install. I used glass on mine this stuff is really strong. Capt Pat posted this somewhere some time ago that he would use this as well. I used garolite g10 for backing pads as well both are bullet proof.
