Re: Eastwind 2022
Neil, our first rendezvous I remember us being invited onto your boat to change a diaper for our now soon to be teenager. At the time it was a dream to someday slap some 220s or 250s in. To be able really redo everything the right way and drop in 370s is beyond. When Bob let me run Resolute it was s...

Re: Strut Pads, One Step Forward, Two Steps Back
So with regard to Buddy Boy. I’m sure Capt Pat did a great job and the pads looked good. When we hauled the boat we were able to summize that the boat hit something. The meter reading said the starboard pad was pretty wet. It could have been a false reading, as I didn’t end up buying the boat or rip...

Re: Strut Pads, One Step Forward, Two Steps Back
I hate to say it, but when we surveyed Buddy Boy both strut backing pads were wet. We are going with a solid sheet of fiberglass, I forgot the thickness but we will post pics when Rob glasses it in this week.

Personally I’d go in the center, the layout is nicer and you will stay dry, allowing a passenger on either side one cheek on the leaning post.

Next up is the strut backing pads, rudder shelf and she will be close to be ready to paint, drop in the tank and mufflers, put the deck and engine boxes back down and send it back to the mechanic. I’m over simplifying, Robs list is much more thorough. I’d say less then a month we go back to the yard...

Re: Super low tide yesterday on Long Island
Frank I’ve been there, pulling the bouys around Halloween is ridiculous. That being said the basin where I keep my boat was exposed mud at low tide yesterday around the edges. Many times in November I run to Bayshore as they don’t pull the buoys there and I’ve had some close calls in the Babylon cut...

Re: Lockable rod storage?
If you move the head forward like Jason did and raise the head liner you can store rods vertically in the head and use flush mount zero degree rod holders. If you don’t open up access to the v berth you can add a door and store plenty of rods horizontally with tubes for the rod tips in the anchor lo...

Jason,
I used a garelick folding leg on my table, they lock in the up position. Seems like they’d work nicely for the bunk.

There is a lot of cool info on their site. Motors can run as a generator to charge batteries. Use electric motors for 5mph zones/trolling. Traditional diesel propulsion or a combo of electric and diesel running at the same time. As a system it’s pretty big.

Apparently when you sell a boat on FB they ask you for miles like it’s a car. If you leave it blank they fill it in with NaN (not a number). At least that’s what google told me.
