Re: Engine Rust Problems? Painting? Pulling?
I think that the Post Office will take it if it's packaged and marked properly. Probably best to just buy the liquid and use it in your own sprayer. The PO regs are here: https://pe.usps.com/text/pub52/pub52apxd.htm#ep292752 And the CX MSDS is here: http://fedcom.ae/store/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/...

It will creep under the rust and let you wipe the rust away. You have nothing to lose by trying (other than time).

Spray the whole thing with corrosion X tomorrow and let it sit for a month. Then go back with a bucket full of rags and wipe the rust off. Respray with cx once or twice a year. My 18 season old diesels look pretty good...... You can spray it on anything, though I would avoid the fan belts.

I believe that State waters extend 3 miles, Federal waters 200 miles. Maritime law is kinda funny. It's possible that you can keep a bass beyond 3 miles, but you have to eat or discard it before crossing back into State waters. There's some weirdness on Long Island, too.... as the laws surrounding t...

With the corrosion-X, do you just spray everything down straight from the can, or do you put it on a rag and rub it over the engine? I sync by ear, but lately have been using boost gauges to make sure that both engines are doing the same amount of work.
If you use the same gears on a counter rotating setup, matching exact engine rpm will result in one prop spinning a little faster than the other.....

Re: Glass'en in the rain... Now what?
What you don't want..... is to allow the epoxy to get too cold (or too hot) while it's trying to cure. So a cold rain is not good. In areas with high humidity, cure times can become extended as well. A little warm air blowing on any exposed epoxy (or polyester, or gelcoat) is never a bad thing unles...

If it's not tacky after 24 hours (maybe 36), it's fine. Cured is cured. If it is tacky, it has to be removed and re-done. Uncured is never going to cure....
