Thanks anyway. I couldn't find any out there for sale right now. I wish that you would have posted about your trp...I had my lower unit just sitting there. I ended up selling it to my neighbor who put it on his 250 hp SHO...I would have given it to you if I knew.

and, if you go with the Cummins, you'll be able to run 35 knts in 7' seas...you also get a free serpentine belt with each engine purchased...

Tom, Thanks, I had the same 01 boat and motor..the trp blew up last year and was replaced with a Suzuki 175 4 stroke...the same weight as the Yamaha. If it's not too much of a hasstle, would you please send pics of the top water to pam.cranston@yahoo.com ? I'll get a couple of my buddies to check it...

Peter, We took off the side panels on Reel Cowboy and installed bolsters. By taking off the panels, you now have room for your little feetys to move around, without your toes getting crunched and less pressure on the knees. My fish box in the transom is also elevated off of the cockpit floor for foo...

Fellas, It's time to change the oil in the Yanmars. I think that the oil pans are plumbed with hoses already. What would be my best bet for a hd transfer pump? I went with a 175hp suzuki 4 stroke...479 lbs, compared to my old motor which is 5 lbs lighter...6 year warranty. A special thanks to Les, Tim and his wife Barbara. I appreciate ya'll putting in the time. Your welcome to come down and check out Reel Cowboy anytime.

I have the same trailer that Gerry has...18k triple axle with tortion bars. It's made by Hi Tech trailers out of Panama City Fl. It's a hell of a drive, but, you can borrow mine.

The lower unit has a 18" shaft with a low water pickup...you can run the motor with 3/4 of the props out of the water...you can get up in less than 5"'s of water.

It was a 2001 Yamaha ox66 150 hp with a trp lower unit...twin rotating prop. The lower unit is very disirable down here in Tx for the shallow running boats.

I remember the 409 and 209 eperb from years ago...has there been any changes? I need something thats good for up to 130 miles offshore and that's easy for a dumb blind man to use...no keystrokes or multiple buttons to mess with.

We just installed one on our boat, and, so far, so good. It screwed down right into place, and, it's accurate with the fuel level in the tank. We'll see how it works out in the future. We wanted something simple like you do.

Peter, The enclosure is secured on top with aluminum c channel and at the bottom with plastic c channel...no gasket.
