Let this be a testament to a survey... I personally went down today to see this boat Buddy-Boy since it is literally down the block from me. I can attest to the curb side appeal of this boat. I did not go onboard and only looked at the dock in awe of her good looks. To me it looked like a brand new ...

When the engine stalls..... Do you think it is stalling because it is electrically stopping...like as if you are turning ignition off...like it has a short??? or Do you think it is stalling because the timing is off and you need to time it properly??? The included transmission are 1.2:1. I dont know if that is a good combo for a 31 Bertram. You could use the stock strut but would only be swinging an 18" prop. I am no engineer but I do recall some talk of this on an older thread. Any ratio will work but the props that go along with the combo may n...

Carl, you have CAV pumps and they are timed specifically to an individual engine. A mark on the timing cover is where its original CAV pump is supposed to be. Great article. It has a lot of math and calculations to get a good idea of what kind of hours you will get out of an engine.

The moral of the story (or the cliff-notes) is to NEVER OVER-PROP

If you under-prop you will get more hours between overhauls
