Re: Fuel tank size

Mine are under the deck. Infront of the engine compartments. The guy who made the was mad that I wanted more than 40 gals. I held out and I love them. I get 45 in snotty waves and 48 in calm. I run to the trench on the main tank then I can troll for 45- 49 hours on the sadles. To get to Atlantis tak...

Re: Fuel tank size

More fuel is better if you are going to make the run to the trench. 220 or 254 is not that much of a change. I have 180 + two 55 gal saddle tanks. I put 10 flats of butter fish on each side plus 4 five gal pales of spearing in the shaft lockers. Thats 250# butterfish and 160# of spearing =410# of ba...

Just to stir the pot. Its a boat. It does not make sence. If its what you want, fine. Is it worth it? Yes if you are happy. Will you get your money back? Never. In the 17 years I have had mine it is one of the greatest things I have ever had. The time with my freinds and family, priceless. Have I sp...

Re: Raw water pick up

My two cents are that the crash pumps should have a hose that runs to the stern and one to the bow. They should be long so that you could move them to where the water is.

Ok they started it. The filters should be someplace easy to get to. It will be snotty when they pack up and leaning across a hot engine is not the spot to change a filter. Also the PVC pipe might crack. There is nothing to stop it from filling the boat with water if something goes wrong. The heat fr...

Pete, if you want you can put dacron in the back and top shot of mono. Braid is not good in my way of thinking for tuna or offshore. Maybe for tile fishing offshore but thats it.
