I purchased the Garmin flow sensors. They are NMEA 2000. But I also have a Garmin chart plotter. I can not tell you how well they work because I never finished hooking them up and the boat is currently out of the water.

on a side note. I always thought Tefgel was a good alternative but harder to come by.

I know normal teflon tape is not rated for natural gas, there is gray teflon tape.

John they are straight configuration. On my boat the engines were sloped down and there was a wedge adapter so the carb would sit level. That also seems to be the case in the service manual I have it shows them as a straight through. There is a difference in the rotation of the pump though.

I finally got a chance to talk to Paul. I honestly have this feeling of wanting to try and make them myself. But we braze copper, we do not tig weld it. Again I have welders who can. But he started rattling off how he would make a flange, etc etc. they seem like they know what they are talking about...

Peter. I think the dipstick tube is pressed in and pulls out realatively easy. But i cant remember exactly where. I think there is a hole in the block. Carl. Those are copper. You dont see copper used much. Everyone uses stainless. I like the thought of copper though. That is something i work with all the time.

Pete that sucks.. But like Tony said soak the cylinders with oil and try and turn it over. On my current endeavor my port engine had me concerned because it was not wanting to turn over. We turned it over by hand, turns out all the grounds and battery connects were really bad. Once we got it running...
