That is sweet. 23 knots at 2100 RPM's is perfect. I always found that the 31 really hits it stride at 24 to 25 knots depending on the boat weight. You might find yourself pushing her up a little.

UGH! Windows I think all of us have windows we need to address. I would love to redo mine. I want to glass in the front, the wife says no. Then I figure go the way Jerry Santiago with Zero Cavity went. Just make them all permanent. The side window in the Head is cracked and will need to be replaced....

John I have never looked at a 20, but I am assuming that the stringers are not glass and are wood. If it is anything like the 3d1, the wood in the stringers can rot away and not impact the hull. If I was building a cradle I would build it the way Bertram had them made. Supports in the 3 load points....

Carl There are those that just like those real old lines. The difference between out boat and that Hatteras is the fact the lines of the 31 are timeless. The hull will still run with the best of them, and they can raise fish. Those new European styles like the Pardo are just butt ugly. I don't get it.

If you head over to a good auto supply store, they sell a tape that you can put on a stick and put it into the tank and it will let you know if you have water. Gas stations usually do not pump water. They actually billed the boat as 32 feet so it may have been a hair longer. I believe the beam was the same. So decks may not have been interchangeable between the Nassau and the 31.

They were built by an outfit called Brightside Marine. I tried searching for them and it looks like 2011 was the last time they had anything written about them.

I would love to move the boat south, but living down south is getting to a point where it is not much better than up here. The only advantage is depending on where you go, you can use the boat more.

Carl You usually need a private dock to get it delivered. Not many Marinas allow it. I do know that the outfit I call delivers to the commercial boats up in Point Pleasant. My 220-gallon tank is roughly 23 inches deep. Figure 10 gallons not left when empty, that gives you about 10 gallons an inch, so you are right on. Do you have a port you open or do you pull the sending unit?

230/240 is more than enough for our area. I am sure you are not going to stay out for days on end. That should easily get you offshore, and back with plenty of reserve.

Looks like they found the stern laying on the bottom, the rest of the boat was broken into pieces. Some of them washed up on the beach in Seaside.

You should be fine with those props. At most you might need to adjust the cup a little bit, but that is the same size I run with the 270 cummins.
