I have upgraded my alternators to 105 amp models as opposed to the 40 amp originals. I forgot that the original had a 50 amp fuse inline between the alternator and battery. That obviously wont work for the new ones. Do you really need a fuse in between the alternator and the battery?

I installed MSD ready to run distributors on my engine rebuild and got rid of all the original prestolite/Chrysler ignition. They have worked find so far but the boat is not in the water so cant say as to how long they will last. Pretty easy to hook up.

I talked with the guys at the local fiberglass supply and they recommend i try a light weight foam core because its not structural. Couple layers of mat on each side and it should be good. the sheet is cheap enough so.. we will see how it turns out.
