Has any one installed lightning protection on their home. we seem to be getting more and more sever thunder storm every year. we are having one now.one house that I know of was hit and burned to the ground a few years back .the price is not that high. Joe you may not have to replace the dyna plate . give it a swipe with some sand paper if it comes up bronze you should be good to go.I don't have one on my current boat, but other ones I did. It is used to ground the electronics, and is usually found in the bottom of the hull..Russ

Well the job is done,,I had to grind both of them off. If they don't come off in 30 min. go to the grinder. I think that they were original 1972 bearings. thanks again for the help guys...Russ

Charlie, thanks for the call. the tornado hit about 1/2 mile to the east of us, it took out one condo ,and went to the main land and did more damage unsure at this time how much. going over to the main land now I'll know more later. Russ

Should you spray the entire engine with corrosion X. I have it mixed with 1/3 lacquer thinner so it can be sprayed. on a cold engine, warm, I don't think a hot engine would be a good idea, any thoughts, thanks Russ

Hey a quick question on my Cummins 6bta 250hp engines. Cummins has a great site the

I have a High tide lift and the 10" bunks are inboard of the shafts. any more out board and the hull would sit on the I beams. If I used a setup like Kevin, I would not be able to launch or recover at low tide. 10 years two boats and no problem....Russ
