Check the fuel line from the tank to the filter for restrictions, especially the fittings. I you have seperate pick-up tubes for each engine, check that too. A run-up @ no load is lot less fuel flow than loaded. It's happened to me before.

Bob, Carl makes a dash that would replace the old dash. I think he just cuts off the old top portion of the bridge console and glasses on the new piece (I have the old original dash from SUPERMEX, I don't know why I kept it) If you pull up the posts of supermex from this site you can see it.

Harry, I think the quadrajet carburetors are the best carburetors you can get for a marine application. They need little maintence, are very efficient at cruise and when you open them up there is all the fuel you can handle. Why do you call them "QUADRAJUNK"??????

My guess is the transmissions fitting will be the least of you problems if you buy from these guys. I would do a little research into sunopwer (try the BBB) before dealing with them. Understand this is just MY opinion, others may feel different.

DQ, I have a Raymarine ST8001 (same as yours but with a knob) and mounted the fluxgate in the ceiling. It works fine and stays dry and easy to run the cables. I think it's better there than in the bilge.
