That's mine, got a cummins. No pocket. I've made some changes to the layout since that article. Just put in a bow thruster. Love the boat. I wondered about the performance of that 25 with the Yanmar and pocket.

Converting a 31 Bertram to a center console with outboards is a great idea and it looks as clean and nice as all the rest of the big CCs. Mounting outboards on that flybridge model may have increased speed but in my eyes it took away all that classic beauty. Just one man's opinion. Love the lift doc...

Same boat, no prop pockets, just a hard top. The Bahia Mar profile has been altered. Complete redo. Needs the right props for a sea trial, then off to the top man, then off to BVI.

Has anyone repowered with the Cummins QSB-350? If so were there any issues or problems. Is this too much for this hull? I've seen many with the reman 330's but not many reman 370. Realizing it will be a lot of work, does a single QSB 540 or 600 make any sense. The boat will be stripped to the bare bones to start with. It is a Bahia Mar with twin Chryslers now.

UV, do you and most of the other 31 guys use trim tabs to get level at speed. Even at 25 kts I seem to be a bit high in the bow. Didn't want tabs but they may be necessary to get level. May even pick up a little speed and be able to drop RPM. Man this is complicated.

IMO, there is no substitute for HP. Two of those 190 D-3 would be a rocketship. Love to see that in a v-drive 25.
