Get the 31! Nine yrs ago I came upon the same situation. We had two boats- one sail, the other an i /o. I sold them both and we were in the market for a inboard. At the time, I was clueless as to what a BERTRAM 31 represented. I found out by accident. And there were two 31's. One needed work that I ...

Charlie, I did mine by sand blasting right down to the gel coat. I mean all the paint came off. Three coats of Interprotect. That was it. $12.00 per foot, I hung the side curtins and put the tarp on the ground. Did the Interprotect myself and the three coats of paint. Call Dennis if you wish, 631 95...

Diesel Dug, I remember when you fisrt put this up maybe four or so years ago. I download it because I knew that this was in the future. And my youngest guy and me went to the boat to execute and did exactly what was required. I used a bottle of French Champagne 'cause we don't drink or use anything ...

Harv, you better stay put and throw all this advice in a pile and go thru it. Hell, it's winter and this would be good on a Sunday afternoon. Sometime ago, I got hold of a copy of Nigel Calder's book, "Boatowner's Mechanical and Electrical Manuel". It took just a week to get thru it. Believe me. I s...

Welcome! And lota luck. I would not do the out boards. The boat next to me has two out boards @ 250 hp and they cost $21000.US each. How long do they last? Maybe 1000 hours. Get GM 5.7 liter. You'll be fine. They are throw away engines and parts are cheap. Maybe you could buy them here(in the U.S.) ...

This happened to me three yrs ago. It was for 3 grand. I was upset. I got hold of the vender and told him, "three grand hurts me but it won't kill me. I'm going out Saturady night and have a steak dinner. But 3 grand is going to ruined your life." I said some other things and then called UV. He told...

paint remover
Just saw a commercial of interest for paint removal. It worked great on the TV. With a scraper all the paint came off on the first swipe.

Hi, Andre. Dick Dean here! I had a computer problem and forgot my pass word and such after it was fixed. This was just about the time UV put the post up. About us Yankees handeling guns etc. On the current battlefield, the Bronx, the Bros use pistols and knives. The Good Guys just use pistols. Yeah, thats right. We don't shot deer, we shoot each other. This is a tough game up here. People get killed. Has a deer ever brought down a redneck? Yesterday,...

I am running Michigan 18x18 quads with high proformance spark plugs and air filters. 3000 RPM means 23 knts for the boat. No doubt I loose on the top end but the cruise @ 19 knts is good. If I were to repower, I would buy two 454's from the junk yard. They go for $400/800 per engine for two bolt mai...
