Re: Looking for original spec cabin trim

JJ, try this Taco part number: A50-0272 If you’re referring to the trim that is around the entry to the vee-berth opening, this I believe is it, based off pics of mine I just looked at. We use this extrusion often on our ‘60-70’s vintage ski boat restorations around the inside edge of the top deck a...

Re: Cabin door window needed

JJ, I’m sorry I’m hardly ever here, but I did just now see your request for windows/doors etc, and if you’re still in need, it looks like I’m your man. I’m in the long term process of converting my Flybridge Cruiser to a SportFish, so my upper bulkhead wall and everything associated with it came out...

Re: 31 Flybridge Cruiser parts for free

I have an original FBC gauge cluster, I think it’s in a box in the boat yard somewhere. I was just there yesterday and won’t be back for a few weeks but I will try to dig it out. Peter, I’d be indebted! Just name a price and reach back out when you can put your hands on it. I also neglected to ment...

Re: Borg Warner 5000 series

Apologies for not visiting here for sometime now, but I’ve got these transmissions with 2.0:1 gears ratio behind 8.1 HO Crusaders in my 29 Blackfin and will probably also go with them on our current 31 Bertram restoration. We’ve had great service from them to date, but these particular engines/trans...

Re: Paint! Boot Strip Debate

Sorry for any confusion, but that number is indeed on the inside of the transom as you referenced, and not the upper right transom. Surveyor’s date may be just a typo.

Re: Paint! Boot Strip Debate

Thanks for the posting help. If this link works, to me it represents one of the more classic points on a 20, 25 or 31; where the curved transom, the unique chine, the dead rise, the boot top, and often even the exhaust, all come together to form something unrivaled. https://imgur.com/gallery/emK8lxw...

Re: Paint! Boot Strip Debate

After lurking for too many years I’ve just now decided to join up as I’m in the middle of my 31 restoration and esp after seeing this thread regarding your boot top color selection. I’ve wanted to post some pics, mainly because it’s Alexseal Sky Blue, which appears somewhat close to your Awlgrip Bah...
