Looks great! Let me know how the trailer works out, I’ll have to get a new one soon, been looking around. Super happy with the trailer. There is not a threaded hull drain at the transom keel junction either.ktm_2000 wrote: #2 B25s can be known as self sinking, since it seems stern heavy, that placard is quite appropriate, leave the drain plugs in when you go away, let the bilge pumps take care of any rainwater.

Here are my initial questions/comments for the group. Sorry to bombard the forum: 1. The previous owner drilled holes in the deck near the overboard deck drains. And, I assume from the bertram placard, those drains are supposed to be plugged while the boat is docked and unattended. This combined wit...

Re: B25 Restoration. Inline 6, Inline 4 or Outboards ?
The quandary is real. I see the benefits of a full refit with outboards. If done right you can end up with a brand newish boat that would cost $200,000 to buy from a factory for a fraction of the cost. Dunno if that is 1/4, or 1/3 or 1/2. But a fraction nonetheless. On the other hand...If I have com...

Next time you are out on Lea Island, or cruising Banks channel, or running the ICW, or walking a marina in the area, count the number of I/O boats you see. Anybody had their open boat weighed? CamB25 says his hull weighed 3200 pounds without engines and rigging.
Read somewhere that L6 Sterndrives are 650lbs each
3200 lb
650
650
= 4500 without rigging.

Re: B25 New Trailer. I have narrowed it down to 3 choices
I guess the big question in my mind is how close is the boat to 4450.
I know fiberglass gets heavier with time due to some water absorption. Whats unsettling for me is that the ads say both the FBC and the Moppie are both 4450.
