JP, Nice whiptail...very tough fish we landed one a few years back, they put there head down and pull...can get a little dicy at the boat with a six foot tail flippin around...should keep your lunch box full for a while. BH

Bill, My 66 Bahia Mar had little stars or scratches all over the hull, looked like laquer crack since the boat had been repainted..the upper sections of the boat were fine( gunnell up)...media blasted the boat and the gelcoat looked like aligator skin...rolled up my sleeves and got real friendly wit...

Gif, Looks like youve been busy. White oak is the only decent oak for boat building but needs air around it, mostly used for frames and coated w/preservative. I have a sheet of 1" okume plywood I got from Boulter Plywood your more than welcome to a few pieces. Give me a call if you need any help. BH

John, I went out back and put a staight edge on the deck right in front of the stock location you can fit an 18 x 18. The crown is less than 1/4" at each side of the straight edge. My boat is a 1966 just to keep apples to apples..BH

Walter, Wind wasnt bad, nice temp break just to the west, we did better on the troll more towards atlantis, up on the flats a bit on the cooler side. Not sure how Dug made out. I know we hit some heavy rain and NE wind on the way in, Dug was heading to Block Island, and had to run right into it.

The front deck has a very slight crown to it, where the hatch is, moving forward the deck seems to flatten out. Are you adding a bomar forward of the stock location? Hope it helps. BH

Saved all the parts I took off except the head door which I sent to Andre, I used old bulkheads to fabricate the new ones. Itchy job yes...wore out two dewalt grinders. Will keep the faithful posted now that I know how to post pictures(thanks capt pat, sticky post walked me through it)
