Shotgun Rigger Mount Dimensions?

Does anyone know the bore diameter of a typical shotgun rigger mount from rupp or lee. I am designing a new hardtop, and will have the fabricator make a custom shotgun rigger mount. I'd imagine that most marine fab shops will know this information, but right now I am just trying to get my drawings c...

why not?

My galley is stacked so High with junk, when we are offshore that I can't even find it, never mind the sink. I would never think about using the sink out there, for fear of getting the open bag of preztzel sticks soggy. At the dock it is a different boat, and a different story... I use it to brush m...

Harry, My experiences have taught me that there is a return on the pains of working with the higher end Awlgrip and Imron paints. There are many ways to get a surface to look just as good, but if you want that kind of luster along with durability nothing else comes close. I've painted everything fro...

Bimini or Softop

Guys, My Bimini and enclosure ended the season on it's last leg /thread, actually not without the help of few stitches from my sewing awl on the last 3 trips. Bottom line is that a new enclosure and top are on the winter/spring list. I am considering a soft-top as opposed to a Bimini. I am a gasser ...

Talked with credit card company the other day.

They said they will put the charge under dispute, and they will try to resolve it, she said I will not be responsible for the charges.

I think Mr. Dean summed it up well... Always pay by Credit Card.

thanks again,

Stem-to-Stern.com ???

I ordered $275 worth of ignition/tune up stuff from these guys in late november. I just recently realized this stuff never came in? Their phone number as listed on the website is dead. I cannot find a listing in the entire state of Ohio for them. Don't get ripped off like me. They have a nice websit...

Problem uncovered

I took the filter screens from both carbs today, and was instantly sure I had it. The port which was still not running above 200 since new gas was introcuded had a layer of brown gum just about completely restricting the flow. The starb was only half as bad but also restricted. I let the goo/gum dry...

Brewster. Love the info, wish I had it earlier. We chunked trolled and chunked. We marked plenty of big one's on the troll, but just couldn't get them up. I want to go back, but I am out of confidence with the boat, and the weather windows are about finished. If I get an invitation I wil go on anoth...

Wayne, I checked a plug while I was out there. It may have been a little lean but it was not carbenated or black at all. Light brown. I have all aluminum tanks and new Parker Hoses. I do a lot of longer range trips. I've been offshore on 200nm round trips at least a dozen times since the ethanol bec...

UV, Thanks, Terrific idea and this would explain a lot. I will check them both. In this case I doubt it is the situation because the engines were running the same on both tanks, and also performed the same when I isolated an engine to each tank. I really need to get to the bottom of this soon, so I ...

Offshore late November with fuel problems

Guys, I ran out 96nm from Manasqun inlet on Saturday for a late November Bluefin trip. Conditions were great, but fishing was poor. (very poor, not a touch) Beyond that, after running 96 n-miles the LightningShack started to sputter a little and wouldn't make over 16kts. I ran out at night and was r...

thanks for the report. I noticed water sliding in there, but hadn't heard a real good report from that area since the blow. This one helps me figure it out, I'll be there by 10:00 tomorrow night.

Is it possible the problem could be in your tachometer. I would imagine not because I'm sure you heard the engine winding up the 200 or 300 extra RPMs with diesels. I had a similiar symtoms last week with gassers, where the 200 or 300 delta is not always audibly noticeable, the problem ended being a...

Tachometer/Not Tranny

Guys, Thought about things for a while, and wondered if maybe the tachometer could have been on the fritz thus making me think the trans was slipping. Velvet Drive Trouble

Guys, 454's with 1.52 Velvet Drives. I changed the oil in them two weeks ago and the transmission coolers two years ago. I went out fishing last sunday and when I got back to the dock I noticed a rattling sound while putting the port engine it in and out of gear. I checked the oil and it was a littl...
