I have twin 150HP yamahas on my pursuit - she sips gas, cruises 30kts easily, and knock on wood, shouldn't blow up every other year -- it is the same block they get 175, 200 and 225 hp out of.

I don't have any low bridges to go under so I don't think the elevation will be that critical -- since the boat has a pretty quick cruise, I won't be able to run with them fully extended and will be collapsing them when not deployed.

My engine boxes were perfectly smooth and I never once slipped on them, no matter sea nor alcohol conditions....the same can not be said for Thuddd..... but that wasn't the lack of non-skid.

It has been done. Mike Holmes did it, but I don't think that it turned out too well. Once you work out the the cost of conversion, it just doesn't pay.
