When I redid Tailhook I used smoked plexiglass -- 3/8th. I had to do it twice though. We didn't remove the paper barrier until AFTER it was all installed as we didn't want the edges, etc. to chip up. Carl: Based on the amount of snow Dug has....spring won't be until July - regardless of when the boat is ready. My boat is supposed to be in the slip on March 30. The last time I saw it (last thursday), it had 4 feet of snow around it.

Alchemy sure is coming out very pretty though!

When I had Tailhook we "fabricated" plugs for the limber holes to put water where we had bilge pumps to get rid of it. And still kept functioning bilge pumps in areas where we were sure we were going to keep water out -- just in case.

Just by comparison, my 2470 Pursuit CC has twin 150 yamaha two strokes that are fuel injected. The motors push the boat easily and it is on plane in a heartbeat. But, dry weight on my boat is 3600lbs - add in full load of fuel (150 gallons) and 2 people and you get to just under 5,000lbs and my boat...

Are you sure about that?!... I have always thought that with two beers (standard size - not super sized), two glasses of wine or two shots of a distilled product you're still under the legal limit... My dockmate has the exact same motors --- on a Grady 33 Center Console. Oops, correction, he has the 350s. Center Console has a queen size birth below the console too. Crazy money, over 400k for a center console by the time he got the bow thruster, full electronics package and diesel generator. Tom
