Did not grind them. Just sanded, three coats of 545 rolled on. No reducer, just 50/50 primer/converter. It really fills crazing nicely. Sand again to 320 and had painter shoot it. painted it at the yard last summer when it was africa hot. top to bottom new water line etc. Would not attempt it at the dock. Asa matter of fact I will never take on a job like that a again. All said and done it was worth it but way more work than I bargained for.

Well, it has been two years. I think I bought the stuff that said teflon. At the time I assumed teflon made it better, but learned on this site that it is not the case. You think that is the problem? Although I only have 33 hours on the Steyrs, I highly recomend them. Same gear ratio tranny and re-used same running gear. There should be some posts on here about the Steyr. They are not the cheapest but quality looks pretty good. Can't speak for performance becuase mine is a 28. Not sure if any 31...
