Re: Cockpit comfort
I could think of worse problems to have! I think I spent about 500 on combing pads for the boat in 2006ish. They really looked good for about 5 years. Unless you do a lot of fishing I do not think they are worth it. This is coming from a free diver though. They are now taking away from the look of t...

I must be suffering from memory loss! I had to look it up again. It is Odyssey not Optima that I meant to say. Sorry about that. I will throw in my recommendation FWIW. I watched a rather large number of boats get NOCO Genius chargers installed a while back. Keith,
When I made mine I used a foam and cut it with an electric knife. I did the hull angle by eye. It is doable if you take yourtime.
Now why do you need cushions? You strike me to be more of a diamond plate kind of guy. Just bring good pillows and blankets!

Bruce, Is it better to have them inside the shafts? I have a Hi Tide elevator lift. The reason I had to place bunks outside the shafts is due to the tide/depth of canal. Mikey, I don't know the dimensions on the 31 but I can recommend a couple things based on my 28. With such deep V bottoms you may be limited to how far apart the bunks can be before the keel or V bottom will touch the aluminum lifting arms. The remedy would be to raise the height of the bunks to all...

How do you know for sure it is oil? Is raw oil or a sheen/slick like when the fuel tank vent overflows. If the compression is good make sure the angle of the shaft is true all the way through the tube.
