Fire/heat sensor

Quick question- have sensors the size of a Nickle on the fire wall with 2 wires- problem in the engine compartment heats up, melts sensor which triggers the alarm on the bridge to go off. Anyone know where to get these? Thanks, Rex

Thank you Mr Bottoms for the pointers. Went back behind there and found a mess... things get ugly in places seldom frequented. Cleaned up some corrosion and back in business. Hi all, mine quit. Is there a sylinoid that might have died? Where might it be located on a B 28 if so? I guess it could be the toggle switch... haven’t explored yet with a meter. Ideas what most likely fails?

Yes, stock charger from '91. Yes, it does taper charge but lacks bells and whistles of new chargers designed for modern sealed batteries. Got a lot of conflicting stories- talked directly to an AGM manufacturer and couldn't have been more absolute

Raritan original charger and modern battaries

Did some research perhaps useful info- upgrading to newer sealed battaries are not compatable with stock B chargers... In my case my wet 4D's have to be replaced with wet 4D's. Stock chargers lack over-heat sensing and appropriate charge rate for the newer style batteries. Greetings from Stock Is. F...

B 28 transmission question

Hi all, quick question- I am not able to get to the boat for a while to look on the trans plate. Trying to determine the gear ratio for the MSA4A transmissions. I have the spec sheet which indicated the vessel had 3 options: 1,54:1 ; 1,93:1 or 2,63:1. Anyone know which of the three would be in mine?...
