I had a Xintex gas sniffer system in a previous boat. I was instructed to mount the sensor as low as possible for best performance. However, that led to very short life for the sensor and lots of false positives.

You have had bad experiences with Noco? I have had a Noco Gen 1 10 amp single bank charger for several years. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003JSHQW0/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_WsJyFb4N7REC7 It's charging 2 Group 31 AGM batteries (105 AH each) and have had good luck though it does take some time to recharge....

Carl- Congratulations! Anybody who understands the effort involved would have cannon to accompany those flags. I believe boats are never "done" you just have to decide to enjoy them as they are. If you have trouble getting the gaskets (I believe there are 2- one large flat gasket and a small o ring for the retaining bolt) Please let me know, I think I have some extras of the large flat gaskets.

I found a chain vice grip wrench really useful for this job. I put an old leather work glove between the chain and the shaft and then let the back of the wrench jam against the hull or the stringer. Maybe the engine was in reverse and not running at too high an RPM at the time it wrapped? - it looks like the trailing part of the blade is what got tweaked from those pictures.
