I have a 12,000 BTU unit in my 28 and it will keep the interior nice and cool. Of course, you will need a generator if you want to use it off shore. I do not have a generator, ...

I repainted the cowling on my Yamaha outboard a while back. The sun down here is brutal if you do not have the engines covered. The decals were on the outside of the clear coat. Man, were they expensive. I used the Yamaha rattle can and put down 3 coats of base coat, sanded with 600 wet/dry and then...

A while back, maybe 3 years ago or so, I started noticing pieces of rotted wood gathering under the bench seat on the bridge. Sure enough, the base plywood in the in the seat was rotted and about to completely disintegrate, so I pulled the seat and replaced the rotted plywood with a fresh 5/8th inch...

I've been using Preval for years with gel coat. Assuming you can get a good match, I usually do my own tinting and overspray some because it usually orange peels to some degree. With over spraying it, you can easily use a wet/dry sand paper to smooth it out after it sets for a few days or longer. I'...

When ever I have a tough time finding a Mercruiser/GM part from Mercruiser, I go to the local GM dealer and get it there. Some times they are not the same, but on the other hand, sometimes they are. Mercruiser just puts their own part number on them and raise the price up.
