Re: Eastwind 2022
Yannis. It’s different we were able to completely close it off. Having spent a dozen seasons with water under the cabin floor, that was coming from an old dirty cockpit bilge. It should be a really nice change for the better.

Carl, We closed off bilge water flow under the cabin bulkhead. We will see how it goes over the course of a season sitting in the water but I’m hoping it’s going to cut way down on odors and dampness in the cabin. I only have the bigger offshore life jackets onboard and always keep 1 laying out loos...

The flies can be wind dependent in either place, hit or miss. We don’t have AC or screens. Which can make it interesting. Watchhill - if you want to be a little more secluded, calm lagoon type harbor if the weather isn’t great. Sailors Haven - is more exposed to the bay, still a nice walk in Sunken ...

My biggest regret was to not take up a friends offer to buy his 20’ seacraft to hold me over while I was laid up for 2 years. Waiting is painful. No advice on a shop to use, if you don’t have a budget I’d be looking at the shop in New England that did the boat that was in Soundings or Bayliss. Elite...

Very well done! I'd like to do my cockpit like this. Keep posting more pics! Thanks. What we had to do was, Raybo built a belly band, which is also the gutter system. Carl I’ve seen some good YouTube videos on making forms and molds to bend corner type windows. Seems complicated but doable. My understanding is they can accommodate side sliding window but not fronts. If you are going to spend that kind of money it would be worth looking into having lewmar make custom hatch style glass that does open into one of these new frames.
