Re: Bertram 25 conversion to an outboard powered CC
These boats are not designed to be fast by today's standards. I ran mine up to 45mph to test prop sizing (and for fun). Very twitchy at that speed as it is riding very high in the water! I spent literally years debating power options for my boat. The problem is that they all work. Figure out how muc...

Now that's a winter hike! Makes me cold just looking at the pictures! 250 hp should be fine if you watch your weight. I'm still light in the stern by 200 - 400 lbs. Assuming your fuse or circuit breaker is sized correctly for the flat white cable you have, you can install as many as you want until the breaker trips or the fuse blows. Then back off by one device.

You might be able to daisy-chain on that single 12v feed. USBs are low current draw. What size is the wire?

I picked up the boat from dealer #2 yesterday. 5 months down with the steering issue. 2 months were spent getting jerked around by dealer #1 (1 hour away). all my cables and lines run through the single rigging tube. In general I think it is good practice to keep your fuel lines as simple as possible. My switches are the etched, backlit style. Light up when the NAV light is on. They are not super bright, just bright enough to see what the switch is. Convenient. It would be easy enough to install a switch in the LED feed to control the lights.

I have new 25 emblems in a box somewhere. They were bought at the same time as the Bertram emblems that rusted, so they are a little thinner than these "mega" emblems. I decide not to be too specific with my labeling on the boat, so I didn't use them.
Let me know if you want them.
