After you prepare the surface its better,if possible, to put on more thin coats than 2 heavy ones. When it goes on to thick it will not dry right as others have said.It pools up in little cracks and will not dry. Just my 2 cents.

You can use Tupper Ware containers. Mount the bus bar to the inside top of the container then mount the top were you want then when you are done doing the wires put the bottom of the container on. I have done this on my flats boat and it worked ok. The other guys are right. The less wires the better...

Noise from air cleaner?

Capt. Patrick or Bruce, I was told that 80% of engine noise from a running deisel was coming from the air cleaner / turbo area of the engine, is this true and ifso what could I do to slow up the sound?

Bruce I did not notice the black smoke but it was ruff. Im not sure that it did not get the air. I think it still got the air, just the fuel pump, because it was harder to get that air, responded by pumping more fuel; thus, the hotter temp on the pyros but I do not know about this stuff like you do.

I used a small tube hooked up to my oil pump out about 2 feet long and could stick it down the dipstick hole and vac out all the stuff in the bottom that way. I do not think removing the hoses is the way to do it or the nut on the bottom. I change the trany fluid every ten canyon trips or twenty day...

My hard fuel line to one of the injectors cracked were the tube was welded to itself, this caused the same problem you spoke of.There was a very small crack that was not visible. The nut covered it when in operation and it took some time to figure out. This was on a Perkins 165hp.

I think that you would want to paint it for sure. The inside is also important to a point. Leave the tanks full. I run them as close to dry and fill them with fresh fuel for the winter. Everyone has their own thoughts on how to do it this is just what I do and have never had any problems.

Just talked to a guy fishing overnight in the square got 30 yellows and 3 big eyes. the eyes were caught on jigs with glow sticks and the rest on chunks. bite was late nite.3-5am
