Ethanol and the Coast Guard

As you may already have noticed, I consider the Ethanol introduction to the marine industry as a major safety issue and decided to go to the Coast guard with it. Here is what I did...and you all can lend your voices to it, too.
Go on the internet/Google and find the U.S.Coast Guard. Then click on "Boating safety", and under that, "Recalls and Safety Defects".
Put in your basic info...name, address, etc and down at the end ther is place for your safety complaints. There I laced into the dangers created by the introduction of ethanol into marine fuels, tank softening and failures, fuel system decay and destruction, major water separation, and tank "cleansing". Recommendations have been given us for tank water drainage and the closing of vents (all contrary to Coast Guard regulations), all because of the introduction of ethanol. The one thing that can cure this immediately is to leave the Ethanol out of marine fuel for safety reasons. The Coast Guard saying so will bear more weight than all our voices put together. They will be relieved of the burden of towing in the crippled boats, cleaning up the fuel spills and rescuing the disabled.
This may be a shot in the dark, but I took it. There isn't enough ethanol to go around anyway. Maybe the government will grab at it in order to be able to feed the motorist this summer! Walter
