i'm also trying to decide what to do. i have a 28b with twin gas engines that are only two years old and i don't want to risk them. i've been researching the issue trying to find out if it is a real problem, how long does it take to effect the tank, and what are my options besides replacing the tank.
i talked with a company up north yesterday and it seems that the problem is real also i was told that when the ethanol breaks down the fiberglass it will liquefy and pass thru the fuel filters and when the gas burns it leaves the risen on the valve thus resulting in a broken valve.
i keep my boat at salt ponds in hampton and they are changing over to ethanol in a couple of weeks i currently have a full tank so i'm hoping to hear something positive,but as of now i don't think i'll put ethanol in my tanks.
