My 73 B28 is in the yard for major deck work. The yard has done lots of B repairs. I was talking at lenght with Mike about the tanks. His fix to the last one. Cut three holes on the top so you can get around the three baffles in the tank. Clean the tank. Remeber there is 35 years of chemicals in these tanks. When I asked him what the inside looked like he said it was quite shiny. This however was the gas varnish that you will often see in lawn mower's that have not been used. It will come off with light scraping and may in fact be part of the "sludge" that the ethanol is breaking up.

Mike then closed the holes with West system. messy job and he hasn't volunteered to do mine.
