In Response To: How about fixing the existing tank (Paul Haggett)

Paul-If you're planning to put down a teak deck, have a new Coast Guard Approved stainless tank put in first. All reports on re-coating the interior of the tank call for a very extreme cleaning, sanding and drying out of the tank and baffles first or the new surfacing will not hold for any extended period of time. The thought of cutting a Teak deck to get access to a tank is upsetting. I have a teak deck but I have diesels ond rumours of ethanol in diesel fuel have me very concerned. Walter
