Ethanol- Dead horse or Y2K?

Did a quick survey of a few of the gas docks I use around Annapolis, MD. All are getting ethanol within the next 2 weeks and the price will go up $0.50 per gallon- about $85 more per fill on my 175 tank.

One gas dock manager said that he hopes that it it just another Y2K problem- lots of hype and no disaster. We can only hope it turns out to be nothing. The fact that it is being forced upon the public with no alternatives is an outrage...boat or no boat.

Some day we are all going to look back on this and laugh. History repeats itself...long gas lines in the 70's followed by the short lived introduction of gasohol. Sound familiar? Time to say no more and let it play out.

Harv-
Thanks for all of your initial legwork. Hope your recovery is going well.
