The oil company's are staying away from the MBTE due to the potential of lawsuits due to pollution issues from the MBTE. Two months ago the President of Exxon made the statement that they could refine the gas to meet emmission requirments without the use of additives like MBTE or Ethanol. But the government keeps pushing away to appear to be green. Tony Meola
