This should work, did for me.

"Yeah your right I need to sell the boat, but if I sell it in this condition, with a Gas Tank Problem which becomes and Engine and Safety Problem we will loss money as nobody wants a problem boat. So I should fix her up and get her running better then ever, shine her up and then throw a for sale sign on.

Somewhere along the way and few cruises out with the boat for dinner and ya forget all about selling your pride and joy.
