Points well taken, however, perhaps it is time to turn up the heat on Boat U.S. and let our voices be heard (since they are advocates for us- right?!).

Although I am just old enough to remember, didn't we go through this in the late 70's? Ethanol (Gasohol at the time?!) was such a problem with old fuel systems that the whole program was abandon. The media seems to like to talk about Brazil and their independence from imports due to their current use of ethanol. What they don't tell you is that consumers in Brazil have a choice at the pump if their vehicles cannot run on ethanol. We need a system whereby it is phased in- i.e. a choice at the pump.

My guess is that forcing it on the public as they are now will only backfire altogether.

Just my $0.02 since I have been quiet on the issue thus far. Everyone knows it is likely to be a problem- once again no political will from our elected officials.
