Even better than that, Harv, they get 50 cents a gallon back on their taxes for using ethanol in the fuel....guess what it costs to put ethanol in the fuel? Yep..around 50 cents a gallon! So Big Oil is selling you stuff for near 3 bucks a gallon that they essentially get for free. And then the milage goes down so they sell you more of it! No wonder they don'r give a rat's *** about our compatibility problems! And if they can get it up to E-20 we'll all have to buy new cars, trucks and lawn mowers too! Now there's a plan for economic growth!
Below is a link to another piece of the ugly puzzle:Its getting pretty obvious that some sort of alternate supply of non-ethanol fuel is a good idea for older cars, seasonal equipment like boats and snowmobiles, and other assorted stuff like ATV's, aircraft, and what-have-you.
Where is Boat US on this??????
