Starboard will last longer but cannot be affixed but that's not what your looking for any way, As long as it attached to your vertical little support that's OK. Plywood is still a very viable alternative there (Glassed with epoxy) since it's a pretty dry area so not a big deal.I used Starboard on my aux tank simply because I had it handy and it was one less step.(no glassing)
