Very timely,
Last night I caught CNN and the topic was how Brazil (I think) has become energy independent by using Ethanol manufactured from sugar cane. GM is building multi fuel cars for export and sale here in the US.
The fear is that oil goes to 100.00 per barrel and fuel costs become very extreme.
GM also promoted the use of ethanol here at home and claims the US can further reduce its demand on foreign oil by changing our corn to ethanol. The number was E85 in the program. We should only expect more of this as the only reason we don't see it now is due to infrastructure regarding transportation.
The little light in the distance is not a passing train, 2010 might be an interesting year.
