Frank,

Spoke to Tom Martin and he feels confident of his solution. The only thing holding him back is Coast Guard approval. He has been in the fiberglass industry for 30+ years and with his associates in the industry, feel his solution will work. He also has proper liability coverage and will guarentee all his work. Turnaround and price seem reasonable, and I'll see what I can do with my company as far as shipping and delivery is concerned. I liked his degree of confidence and knowledge on all the topics I threw at him and assured me that the particle impregnated gel coat would be the answer to the situation. I also mentioned the cleaning and preparation process and he assured me that even if he ground out enough bad glass and made a hole in the tank that it would not be a problem that he could not compensate for.

Also got an email from Richard Kidd....here it is,

I CAN NOW MAKE TANKS THAT WILL HANDLE 100% ETHANOL.

So it seems that once a decision is made by the Coast Guard, we may have a few options at our disposal.
