I am not sure why he is not recommending Epxoy over vinylester? I believe adhesion is going to be a big problem. Will vinylester gelcoat really stick? I do know vinylester is lots cheaper than epoxy. I just have to question the choice if you are shooting for bond strength to the old polyester. I would wait for the answer before I started coating everything with vinylester gelcoat.
