Good links and a worthwhile read!

One comment though...epoxy resin IS NOT the same as polyester resin, and vinylester resin is a little different again.

From what I can make out the Bert tanks were polyester. The current ethanol-approved resin for making new fiberglass tanks is a vinylester. I don't think I have read anywhere about EPOXY resin being compatible with ethanol.
